Inside Out Journal

The Inside Out Journal project connects what you learn in the classroom to the outside the class room.  Hence the name Inside Out.  The Inside page is notes that we took in the classroom and the Out page is an example from the real world.  It helped me to better understand what I'm learning.   I actually got to see what I am learning instead of just being told.

Reflection

This journal is a form of unity.  It links together what we learn in the classroom and the real world.  It helps you relate your knowledge to everything you see.  “Out” in the title “Inside Out” represents how we use our knowledge in our daily lives.  It helps us to realize the everything that we learn in class isn’t useless.  It tells us that we use these things everyday.

This journal helps to be observant and it makes us ask questions, both of which is very important.  It’s important to be observant of your surroundings.  You can learn many things just by watching everything around you.  As you’re watching, questions pop up into you head.  These questions may inspire you to do your own research.  They both help you in ways that you don’t even realize.

This journal has become so important to me.  I think that even in the future it’ll be important to me.  This journal has helped guide me through the journey of education.  It helped me use my knowledge outside of school.  It has become part of my daily life.  It has taught me to relate all my knowledge from school to everything around me.  It has transformed into a habit.

This project has changed my perspective on things.  It conveys that there is a reason behind everything.  I think that this project has inspired me to dig down deeper, even my cover design had me digging down deeper.  The diagonal line divides “Inside” from “Out”.  There is a half of a heart on both sides of the line.  Apart, they are nothing, but together they create a whole different world.
